Churches in Bristol

In the bible after Jesus was crucified, rose from the dead and ascended into heaven, the believers began to form a new community. You can read about it below:

They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles. All the believers were together and had everything in common. They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need. Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favour of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.
Acts 2:42-47 NIV

We believe that if you want to explore and grow in your faith, that the best place to do this is in a church community. Being part of a church will help you to build strong relationships with people just like you. It will help you to take steps to be just like Jesus and to live a life of faith. You will be encouraged in everything you do and will be supported in the challenges that you face.

There are many different churches across Bristol that are all very individual, diverse and different from each other. Ranging from traditional to contemporary and everything in between.
Bristol Chaplaincy currently works in partnership with a number of different churches across the city and we would love to connect you with a church that is right for you. If you would like us to recommend a church for you to visit, please contact us and we would be happy to help.

Alternatively, why don’t you join us at one of our Faith Spaces. You can find more information here.
